๐ โEducation is not neutral โ it either liberates or indoctrinates.โ
They took the drum out of the classroom.
They replaced the story of Imhotep with Aristotle.
They taught you about Rome before they taught you about Kush.
They made you memorize dates of conquest โ but not the names of your grandmothers.
๐ง Colonial education was never meant to liberate you.
It was designed to shape the perfect subject: obedient, disempowered, disconnected.
To awaken, we must re-educate the soul.
๐ Todayโs Truth:
What we call “education” was often mis-education.
It made you ashamed of your accent.
It taught you to aspire to Europe, not understand Africa.
It taught you history began with colonialism โ and ended with independence.
But PowerAfrika says:
๐ Knowledge is not theirs to gatekeep.
๐ Our libraries were burned, but our memory remains.
๐ ๏ธ Day 6 Action: Rewrite the Lesson
๐ Post one truth you were never taught in school โ something African, powerful, and buried by colonial curricula.
It could be a forgotten hero, a suppressed innovation, a repressed philosophy.
๐ฒ Use hashtags:
#IAmAfrican #AwakenAfrika #UncolonizeTheMind
Sample Posts:
๐ฃ๏ธ “No one taught me about Queen Nzinga. So I teach myself now.”
๐ฃ๏ธ “They never mentioned the libraries of Timbuktu. But knowledge was never theirs to begin with.”
๐ฃ๏ธ “My education began when I stopped being their student and became my ancestorโs disciple.”
๐ฏ PowerAfrika Reminds You:
Colonial classrooms trained you to pass exams โ not reclaim your power.
To awaken, we must become students of truth, not systems.
๐ค Relearn. Reclaim. Rise.
