Fellow Ghanaians and Advocates of Justice,
On February 24, 2025, Democracy Hub, in collaboration with the Convention People’s Party (CPP), filed a lawsuit at the Supreme Court of Ghana, seeking the removal of “Kotoka” from our International Airport’s name. This legal action underscores a collective desire to rectify historical injustices and align our national symbols with our democratic values.
We wholeheartedly support this initiative and express our eagerness to collaborate with Democracy Hub and the CPP to amplify this cause. Together, we can engage in public discourse, educational campaigns, and advocacy efforts to ensure our national monuments honor those who have genuinely contributed to Ghana’s progress.
This is a clarion call to all citizens, civil society organizations, and student bodies: let us not remain passive observers. The essence of our democracy thrives on active participation and the relentless pursuit of justice. By uniting our voices and efforts, we can compel the necessary change to honor the true architects of our independence.
